BN Resources was formed in 2003 to provide expert training for Islander and Defender operators.

Initially focussing on providing Type Rating Training for the BN2T (turbine) Islander, the Company has since increased its training portfolio to include a full EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organisation. BNR prides itself in providing the highest  quality training courses.

Engineering courses are delivered by qualified instructors who are EASA, UK CAA and Britten-Norman approved. Training, which includes airframe, avionics and power plant modules, can be provided at the customer’s location or at the Company’s dedicated training suites at the Britten-Norman facilities at Bembridge, Isle of Wight and Daedalus, Lee-on-Solent, UK.

Pilot training for the Turbine Islander is provided under BNR’s TRTO utilising aircraft that are owned and maintained by Britten-Norman. In addition to providing EASA / UK CAA approved Type Rating Training, the Company also provides Britten-Norman approved training on other Islander variants.

The Bembridge training facilities have recently undergone extensive refurbishment and now boast interactive whiteboards from SMART™ Technologies and a wide range of type specific instructional aids. The recent acquisition of a BN2 training airframe also permits controlled, practical training to be conducted by our experienced service engineers and instructors. This investment highlights our commitment to providing training tailored to customer needs.
