QUALITY ENGINEER (SUPPLY CHAIN) 

Location: Bembridge, IOW 

Standard Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Flexible Start

 

Job Description

Responsible for the independent quality oversight of suppliers and associated supporting functions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

 

Primary tasks

On a day to day basis the primary responsibilities of the Quality Engineer will be to:

Develop and implement the Internal Audit Programme and maintain the programme in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Take responsibility for the monitoring of the airworthiness regulations and standards, reviewing changes and or proposed changes and their impacts on the company’s management systems and procedures.

Take responsibility for the completion of Internal Audits and reviews in accordance with the requirements of the programme and company / regulatory requirements.

Take responsibility for the upload of audit and non-conformance reports onto the company database, analysing and preparing KPI’s, trend analysis and risk data for senior management review on a monthly basis.

Produce accurate monthly reports on the cost of quality in respect to non-compliance.

Assist with the maintenance and development of expositions and procedures.

Take responsibility for independent validation of staff competence against the applicable skills matrix and competence criteria.

Minimum qualifications requirements:

Minimum of 5 x GCSE’s at Grade C or above.

Certificated training as an Aerospace Auditor.

Apprentice in Aerospace Industry or equivalent.

Certificated training in Part 21G or Part 145.

Quality Assurance Qualifications (ONC / HNC).

 

Required experience of:

Aerospace Industry (following a recognised apprenticeship or similar structured training) in a Quality Engineering Role in aerospace production or component maintenance.

Experience in Internal Auditing in the aerospace industry.

Experience of working with Regulators.
