PROGRAMME CONTROLLER 

Location: Bembridge, IOW 

Standard Hours: 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 4:30, Monday to Friday

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of the New Build Master Schedule ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and fully resourced with labour hours, materials and subcontract payments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supplying components to the new build production line, customer support team and military and civil maintenance repair and overhaul lines.

 

Primary tasks

On a day to day basis the Programme Controller’s primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Working with the production and material supply teams.  Create and schedule jobs to manufacture parts and the assemblies (build), assigning materials, resources and lead-times, to ensure the full delivery of parts and assemblies.

Maintaining a 12 month project schedule and provide an accurate Cost to Complete (EAC) for financial reporting.

Ensuring appropriate contracts/terms and conditions are in place with subcontractors and review contracts on a 6 monthly basis to ensure corrective measures are introduced.

Ensuring contractual and programme baseline control management are in place to ensure the master schedule is true and realistic baseline.

Managing subcontractors against positively trending on time delivery, quality and cost targets.

Effective time management

Capacity and aptitude in administration to plan and organise.

Ability to build and develop strong relationships with overseas service providers/suppliers.

Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate at all levels.

Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills.

Able to advise on delays in production in a clear and concise fashion.

Asserting best practice in an environment of competing priorities.

Confident with the use of planning software tools (MS Project) and other software tools.

Willing to be hands on as we are a Small to Medium Size Enterprise (SME). 

Commercial and financial acumen.

Strong IT skills, being proficient in tools within the Microsoft Office suite.

 

Minimum qualifications requirements:

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.
 

Required experience:

Experience in Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Control or Project Coordination.

Experience in a supply chain environment

Production planning

Experience in applied or led improvement activities, including the deployment of lean manufacturing principles.

Experience in project/programme management within a multi-functional team.
