An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join BN Defence Limited. BN Defence Limited provides MAOS, DAOS, CFAOS, MIL part 145 and Flight Test services and facilities to defence customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the financial management of projects, the recognition and development of business opportunities, the compilation of bids and the agreement and management of supplier contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as main point of contact and manage the contractual relationship with the customer.
Working with the sales and marketing departments, seek out and develop opportunities for the defence business to grow.
Exploit new customer opportunities for the benefit of the business and nurture new relationships.
Oversee and approve customer quotations.
Oversee and approve supplier purchase orders.
Negotiate contractual agreements, changes and amendments.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness, have the ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers and have strong contractual knowledge. The candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Project and Excel and will be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and have strong interpersonal skills.
The post holder will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above with at least a grade B in maths and English, along with 2 A Levels in a relevant subject at grade C passes (minimum of 160 UCAS points) or equivalent.
Experience of working in the aviation or defence sector or experience of working with UK Government agencies is essential. It is also essential that the successful candidate has previous experience of working within a similar commercial role.
Any offer of employment will be conditional, subject to the successful completion of the Company’s Security Clearance process. This will be arranged by the Company on the candidate’s behalf.
