 Aircraft Fitter/Technician

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Fitter/Technician to join our aircraft maintenance team!  

 

If you enjoy carrying out aircraft maintenance, inspection, rectification and modification of mechanical systems and structures, then this is the job for you!

Employment basis:                          Full Time 

Salary:                                  Competitive Salary and Excellent Benefits

Standard Hours:                   40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday

 

 

Primary Tasks 

Your main tasks will include but are not limited to:

·      Carry out aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair of mechanical systems and structures either at home base or deployed, in accordance with approved data

·      Carry out the embodiment of aircraft mechanical modifications in accordance approved data

·      Carry out fault finding of defects, rectifying defects as found in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual and other Approved Data

·      Mentoring of Apprentices

·      Responsible for ensuring quality standards is maintained to the highest level

 

Key Skills and Attributes: 

·     Communication: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills with ability to retain composure and flexibility under pressure

·     Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel and outlook

·     Organisation: Ability to multi-task and to determine and manage priorities to meet multiple deadlines

·     Team Working: Effective in a team and as an individual. Precise, accurate and meticulousness. Reliable, pro-active and self-confident.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements: 

 

·     Served recognised Aircraft Maintenance / Craft Apprenticeship or BTEC Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering and NVQ Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering or Part 66 B1 Maintenance License.

·     5 GCSE grade C or above including Maths, English and a Science subject.

·     Current Human Factors certificate.

 

Required Experience:

 

·     Experience in embodying aircraft modifications. 

·     Extensive experience in carrying out aircraft maintenance.
